What is Neurodivergent ?

 “Neurodivergent” is a nonmedical term that describes people whose brains develop or work differently for some reason. Being neurodivergent means having a brain that works differently from the average or “neurotypical” person. This may be differences in social preferences, ways of learning, ways of communicating and/or ways of perceiving the environment. Because of this, a neurodivergent person has different struggles and unique strengths.  ​

Is Neurodivergent Normal ?

While everyone’s brain develops similarly, like a person’s fingerprints, no two brains...not even those of identical twins ...are exactly the same!   Because of that, there’s “NO” definition of “ NORMAL ” capabilities for the human brain.  Our participants understand that their "Difference Is Not A Deficit"

Is Being Neurodivergent a Disability?

Neurodivergent is not a disability...because these individuals process information differently they tend to struggle with typical systems or processes that don’t give them a chance to show off their strengths and those processes usually create new or more intense challenges for them.  Accommodations can help Neurodivergent individuals overcome their particular struggles. Educational and program accommodations allows these individuals to embrace their differences and challenges, these tools provides a way for them to to succeed.
